Adworthy's Francisco Alberini Describes How DMEF Helped Launch His Career, Fall 2011
The New Professional: Francisco Alberini participated in the first DMEF's Next Generation Leaders (NextGen) program in 2007-2008 after graduating with a Marketing degree from New York University's Stern School of Business. As a NextGen associate, Francisco rotated through four companies in the direct marketing field including eScholastic, Wunderman Worldwide, Harte-Hanks, and Goodman&Company. Upon completing NextGen, Francisco joined Publishers Clearing House where he spearheaded the company's foray into social media as a social media manager. With solid client-side experience, Francisco moved to the agency side where he currently serves as director of social media for digital agency Adworthy in New York City. This year, he served as a NextGen mentor, and even recruited his brother to attend the DMEF Student Career Forum in Boston. "The DMEF NextGen program exposed me to an invaluable network of mentors who continue to guide me. I was able to jump-start my career by building upon the foundation of direct and interactive marketing principles which I learned during the program, all the while pursuing my passion for digital and social marketing."
